ATM Update

Just like we were among the first in our area to issue EMV-chip cards, we are also among the first to bring enhanced card protection to our ATMs.

Tyndall is continuously looking for ways to offer our members the most up-to-date products, while keeping our members’ financial security top-of-mind at all times.

To that end, we have upgraded all of our ATMs to chip-enabled machines. The machines work in the same way as the card-readers at the stores do – the chip communicates with the machine to create a one-time transaction code, which helps to significantly reduce card fraud.

These machines operate a little differently, however, from the ATMs you may be used to, so we wanted to give you a few pointers.

What can I expect?

Just follow these steps:

  1. Insert your card into the ATM with the chip facing up and remove as you normally would.
  2. If you inserted your Tyndall card or other chip-enabled card, you’ll be asked to re-insert it and leave it in during the transaction. The machine will then grip the card to keep it securely inserted.
  3. Once finished with your transaction, the machine will beep and lights will flash to remind you to take your card before you leave.

Please don't forget to take your card with you!
