General e-Statement Questions

Are e-Statements secure?

Absolutely! When it comes to your personal and account information, we understand that the security of that information is of the utmost importance. Information accessible through Online Banking, including e-Statements, is protected through multiple security measures, including user authentication, data encryption, and the use of secure servers. Tyndall's Online Banking site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with 128-bit encryption. Tyndall Federal Credit Union takes the issue of security very seriously.

Can anybody receive e-Statements?

Any Tyndall member who has enrolled in our FREE Online Banking service may elect to receive e-Statements in place of his/her printed statements.

How much does it cost to receive e-Statements?

Nothing. Like Online Banking, there is absolutely no charge for the e-Statement service.

What exactly are e-Statements?

e-Statements are a safe, convenient way to view, print, and download your Tyndall account and credit card statements. They are simply your regular paper statement in an electronic form, which takes the place of your paper statement. e-Statements are accessible only from within Tyndall's secure Online Banking site.

Enrolling in e-Statements

Can I come into a Tyndall branch to enroll in e-Statements?

In order to enroll in e-Statements, you must actually log in to Online Banking and submit the request yourself. It is not something a Tyndall employee can do for you. However, if you have feel you need assistance with the enrollment process, a Financial Service Representative at any of our branches will be happy to help you enroll.

What if I am not enrolled in Online Banking yet?

If you are not yet enrolled in Online Banking, click here to enroll now. Remember, there is no charge for Online Banking, e-Statements, or Bill Pay!

How e-Statements Work

Are my previous account statements available online?

If you are NOT a current Online Banking user, your account e-Statements will be available as of the end of the month in which you enroll in Online Banking.

Can I call into the Call Center or come into a branch to update my email address?

While you may certainly contact us to inform us of your new email address, you may also update it yourself within Online Banking. In order to update the email address on file, simply log in to Online Banking and update your email address from the "My Profile" link. Changing your email address within Online Banking will also update it in Tyndall's main database.

Do I have to notify the Credit Union if my email address changes?

In order to provide e-Statements in place of paper statements, we must maintain your current email address at all times. We are required to send you a notification email to inform you that your statement is available for viewing online. Therefore, we ask that you keep us informed of any changes to that address. You may keep your email address updated through the "My Profile" link in Online Banking.

How do I access my e-Statement?

Our e-Statement product is easy to use; simply log in to Online Banking and navigate to the "e-Statements" tab. On the e-Statements page, you will find your account statements, credit card statements, notices, tax forms, etc.

How do I know when my e-Statement is available?

If you choose to receive e-Statements instead of paper statements, we will send an e-Statement Notification to the email address you provide to inform you that your statement and any applicable disclosures are available for viewing online. Should you need to change the email address for the e-Statement Notification, you may update the information at any time through the "My Profile" link in Online Banking.

The e-Statement Notification will include Tyndall's web address. Just log into Online Banking. Your e-Statement will be available from the e-Statements link any time after you log in to Online Banking. Any associated disclosures will also be available there.

If I do not receive the email notification, does that mean that my e-Statement will not be available?

No, it does not mean that your e-Statement is not available. As long as you are enrolled in e-Statements, your e-Statements will be available within Online Banking, regardless of whether or not you receive the email notification. However, if you fail to receive the notification as expected, please log into Online Banking and verify that we have the correct email address on record for you.

When can I expect my paper statements to be discontinued?

Once we receive your request to receive e-Statements instead of paper statements, we may send you a paper statement as well as the electronic version for the first statement cycle, especially if your request is made after the 25th of the month. After that, your statements will be accessible through Tyndall's Online Banking service, and you will no longer receive a statement by mail.

Will the e-Statement look exactly the same as my paper statement?

Your e-Statement is formatted so that it is easy to read on any electronic device, whether you are using a PC, a smartphone, a tablet, or a laptop. If you wish to see the information in a format like the printed statement, though, it is available in pdf format; just click on the "download" icon to open the pdf.

e-Statements - Technical

Do I have to enable ''cookies'' on my Internet browser to be able to view my e-Statement?

Cookies must be enabled in order to access Tyndall's Online Banking service. If you need assistance with your browser's settings, please call Tyndall e-Banking Support at 850-873-3600 (888-896-3255, Option 5, toll-free), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Central).

Do I need special software to view my e-Statements?

No. You do not need any special hardware or software. If you can access Online Banking, you should have no problem accessing e-Statements. Before enrolling in either Internet Banking and/or e-Statements, verify that you have:

  • Internet access
  • A computer and Internet browser that can support 128-bit encryption
  • For security purposes, you should use the most current version of either: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or AOL's browser. The most current browser versions are typically more secure and will support 128-bit encryption.
  • Access to a printer or storage medium such as a hard drive so that you can download and/or print disclosures and/or statements for your records
  • An email address so that we can contact you when necessary
  • Up-to-date versions of the PC's virus protection, spyware, and firewall software

How can I tell if I have already requested e-Statements instead of paper statements?

Once you log into your account within Online Banking, click on the "e-Statements" tab. If you are already enrolled, you will be able to see your e-Statements. If you are not yet enrolled, you will be presented with a screen on which you will choose your Statement Delivery Method. When you select Electronic, you will then be presented with the required disclosures; simply review them and click on "I Agree."

What if my computer is unavailable or I cannot access Online Banking for some reason? Can I get a printed statement?

Of course you can, although fees may apply, as stated in the current Fee Schedule. Just visit one of our branch locations or contact our Call Center at 850-769-9999 (888-896-3255, toll-free).

Resuming Delivery of Paper Statements

If I change my mind and choose to receive my statements by mail again, who do I contact?

You do not need to speak directly with anyone. If, at any time, you decide that you no longer want to receive statements electronically and want to resume receiving a printed copy of these statements, you must change your Statement Delivery Options online for such action to be taken. To withdraw consent to electronic delivery, log into Online Banking, select the "e-Statements" tab, and then select the "Enrollment" tab. Click on the "Paper" button and then select "Submit Changes." Once we receive your request to switch back to paper statements, we will set your statements to be delivered by mail. Once this change takes place, your e-Statements will no longer be available to view in Online Banking, so please be sure to download whatever past statements you may want for your records.

Is there a fee to receive my statements by mail again?

No. There is no fee associated with resuming delivery of your paper statements. Please remember, however, that your Monthly Checking Account Service Fee will no longer be waived once you are no longer enrolled in e-Statements.
